Our Shekhawati road trip (multiple trips starting October), is a journey into the neglected heritage and lost opulence of the Shekhawati region in Rajasthan. Once a bustling trade zone in the early 18th century, it is now an abandoned corner of Rajasthan. There are more than 2000 havelis scattered across Shekhawati which comprises of districts of Jhunjhunu, Nagaur, Sikar and Churu in the North West of Rajasthan.
Yet, they stay in a homestay run by wonderful Radhika. Set amidst acres of forest, it’s absolutely safe and comfortable.
